Alisha's Story

Zoe Archer and Carl Riley are, asking, please help save their Daughter's life.
Hi my name is Lee Archer and i am Alisha's uncle, we are from Liverpool. This is 19-month-old Alisha, 19 months ago (through IVF) Me and my fiancé were blessed with twins “Alisha and Jack”. Over The Past 6 months, Alisha has been in and out of hospitals, first, we took her to Alder Hey Hospital because she was unwell and quite unresponsive, they did a few tests and that night decided that she was fit to go home.
Over the coming week Alisha became worse and was vomiting for days she had no fever and she just was not right. We took her to Whiston were she stayed for 5 days, she got diagnosed with gastroenteritis and torticollis even though it is extremely uncommon for a child Alisha's age to have that. (We asked for an MRI scan but got told that she will recover so it is not needed)
After being sent home, (going back and forth to doctors and hospital) we were not happy because her neck had been tilted to one side for weeks, so we decided to go back to Whiston to demand an MRI scan. (Our baby girl could not stand, was not very responsive and her eyes were rolling) The 6th of May was the day mine and my Carls life was turned upside down. Whiston hospital did the scan and found a tumour which was located in the posterior fossa area of the brain, Alisha was rushed to alder hey right away.
They drained the tumour on the 8th and on the 10th they did the operation. The tumour was starting to wrap around her Brain Stem which is Part of the brain that controls breathing. After 9 hours The tumour was removed successfully.
On the 15th the biopsy results came back, the tumour Alisha had was called an “EPENDYMOMA” and it is cancerous, it will grow back if she doesn't get PROTON BEAM THERAPY in Florida USA. (Traditional radiotherapy is too dangerous because of her age and sensitive area the surgeon told us)
Alder Hey has said that the treatment (which would cost £150,000) will be paid for but we still need money to support us and the family through this traumatic time. We are hoping to use the money to help support the family whilst they are out in America for basic living essentials such as; food and transport. As well as giving the family positive things to experience through this awful time in their lives such as small trips to local points of interests. The money will be withdrawn into my account and will be transferred to Alisha's parents through bank transfer.
