Allen Davis Funeral Fund

In a case of suspected mistaken identity, Allen Barclay Charles Davis was shot in Kansas City just a week ago. And sadly, his life was cut short this past Friday during surgery.

Like many young men, being only 30 years old, he did not take necessary steps to ensure his affairs would be in order should he pass away. Who expects to die at 30, a victim of reckless gun violence no less? It is a tragedy, one that has stunned and broken the hearts of his family and the community.

In circumstances like these, you might find yourself thinking only things like this happen to certain kinds of people. But try to remember, he was a brother, a son, a cousin and a father of a precious 9 year old little girl, Krislen. He was loved and anyone who knew him can testify to his silly, loving demeanor. And he didn’t know the person who did this. There are still many unanswered questions.

Allen is my husband’s cousin. They grew up together and this has us all reeling. On top of the sudden heartbreak of losing Allen, his family is not equipped financially to afford the high funeral expenses. So I am asking friends, family, community- please consider donating anything towards the funeral expenses. And most importantly, please take some time and pray for our family, that the Lord would provide comfort, and for our Kansas City community, who is constantly inundated with avoidable tragedy caused by the reckless use of guns to solve problems. It isn’t just out family that is grieving- it is a community that is grieving. 
 
Any money collected above the needed funeral expenses will be placed in an account for Allen’s daughter.
