Allison Carroll Fund for Heath
Donation protected
On Sunday, July 22, 2018, we lost our beloved Allison. She was 24 years old and only two months shy of her wedding to Heath. This has been devastating to all those close to her.
Sunday evening, Allison and Heath were driving in separate cars on their way to Dalton to spend a few days with Heath’s family. An oncoming car lost control and hit Allison’s car head on. She died of her injuries in the hospital shortly after.
For all who knew her, it’s no exaggeration to say she was the sweetest person they knew. She was light hearted, warm, and kind to everyone, and was especially loyal to her friends and family. She constantly sought out ways to serve and care for those around her.
Allison and Heath planned on living with Allison’s parents in Marietta while Heath finished getting his graduate degree at Georgia State. They would have lived solely off of Allison’s income. Now many of Heath’s plans are up in the air. Please join us in raising funds to cover some of Heath’s expenses over the next year, along with other experiences to help him mourn the loss of his fiance. As he figures out his next steps, finances should be the very least of his concerns.
Here are some of the expenses we would like to cover for him over the next year.
$15,000 - three semesters of grad school tuition and fees ($5,000 per semester)
$12,000 - a year’s worth of rent and utilities payments ($1,000 per month)
$5,200 - a year’s worth of groceries ($100/week)
$4,800 - counseling twice a month for up to a year ($200/session)
$3,000 - a trip with friends
Heath and Allison also cared deeply about Simone’s Kids , a school and child sponsorship program in Uganda. 10% of all incoming financial gifts will be donated to Simone’s Kids on behalf of Allison.
This page was in no way requested by Heath. This is simply an attempt by friends, family, and any who are moved to help take care of him during this difficult time.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
The funeral ceremony will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, July 28 at McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church.
