Allies for Allyson
Donation protected

We, the friends of Allyson Allred from Birmingham, AL, would like to help her with expenses while Allyson is in Philadelphia, PA getting treatment for the next 12 weeks for the rare Ocular Melanoma Cancer. Allyson is getting treated as an outpatient at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson Hospital and is staying in a nearby apartment that has been provided by a very generous donor. She has to have someone with her 24/7 so friends and family are alternating going to Philly to help her through this time. It is our desire to help her with living expenses for the 12 weeks she is in Philadelphia.
Allyson was diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma in 2001 when she had her eye removed. The cancer has since spread to her liver, lung, brain, kidney, ovary, neck, and breast. Since there is no known cure for Ocular Melanoma, which effects only 5 people in a million, she is in Philadelphia receiving "experimental treatment" which we are praying will help Allyson defeat this cancer. Allyson's husband, John, her father Bill Armistead and their two children, who are college students, hope to be able to visit her as often as possible. The family hopes to celebrate Thanksgiving together in Philadelphia this year where they will be offering thanks to God for His provision. The family has very strong Christian faith and are ultimately trusting God for the healing. Please consider joining us in supporting Allyson and her family.
