Alpharetta HS Career Scholarships

The Alpharetta High School Foundation seeks to support those students who have both a financial need, and have demonstrated the desire to achieve academic success at a vocational school post high school graduation. Our goal is to fund five scholarships each with $5,000. Every student applicant will be required to adhere to the application requirements set in place for each individual scholarship. All applicants will be required to have an “in person” interview. At the end of the interview process the AHS Foundation will announce the winning student for each category. (Amount of scholarship Is dependent the amount of donations received.)

1. ARTS
Art majors encompass a wide range of mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpting, photography, video, design, performance theatre, dance, and music. Who is the next Jackson Pollack, Rembrandt or Picasso and do they currently attend AHS? If you wish to pursue a career in Fine Arts this scholarship is for you!
2. TECHNOLOGY
Alpharetta High School has a top Audio Video Film & Technology program! Georgia ranks #1 in feature film production and home to Eagle Rock Studios, the largest stage largest stage complex under one roof in the United States with 465,000 square feet of space. If you are looking for a career in video production, this is the opportunity for you!
3. VOCATIONAL
Alpharetta High School is the home to an Award Winning Culinary Program. The next great Chef may be a student at Alpharetta High School right now! In the last few years enrollment in trade and vocational schools has soared. Economic turbulence combined with increased demand in many trades has fueled student interest in fields like HVAC, Automotive Repair and Welding, Cosmetology, and the Culinary Arts. If you have any interest in a vocational school this is a great option for you!
4. HEALTHCARE
What's more important than our health? A career in healthcare has never been in such high demand. If you are looking for a career as a registered nurse, radiology technician, diagnostic medical sonagrapher, medical lab technician, respiratory therapist, x-ray technician, or pharmacy technician this is the scholarship for you!
5. ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Who wants to enter the Shark Tank? Traditional business school is not for everyone and entreprenureship is on the rise. The AHS Foundation is looking to support the graduates that are looking to start their own company. What better way to jump start your career! Perhaps you want to be innovative like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Larry Page, and Sergey Brin. Aspiring entrepreneurs looking to manage or run a company this opportunity is for you! Take your great idea to the next level with this scholarship opportunity.
