Save our Alto wild horses
Donation protected
A local not to our community decided to bait our beloved wild herd of horses in Alto New Mexico on 8/25/16, call the state and have them removed from their home and from our families. These horses are part of our community and need to be brought home. If we can not raise the money in 5 day we all fear that the slaughter house is in their future. The money raised is going to buy them back, transportation from were they are being held captive, and for food until they can be re -released into their proper homes. The culperate was unable to capture all of the horses so now the herd is split. Please help us bring our family home!!!!!!
We have raised so much now I would like to tell you a little about me as per this admin of go fund me. I am a 4th generation local born and raised as well as my daughter wow now makes 5th generation. These horses are embedded in our roots and our history and I am fighting so her generations have the horses to appreciate. The horses and my family are as intertwined with each other as they are with this land. Once we bring them home from auction we will need to have funds to feed them and get them checked by our vets. They have never left this area and they do not have proper immune systems to handle anything they might come into contact with up state. We may also need money for any legal fees that we might incur tying to get them protected. This isn't going to be a short journey by any means but it is a necessary campaign to insure that our future generation and theirs are still rooted where the great provider has placed them.
Once purchased, please if you have any questions on where the funds are being spent and how much and where just please please ask. I'm an open book and will share all information with all of our supports.
THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
For keeping our horses rooted where they were planted.
