Amelia (Milli) & Tess' GoFundMe

It is with extreme sadness we want to inform everyone that Amelia’s (Milli) cancer has returned for the 3rd time.

Her cousin is also suffering terribly at this time and the family are heartbroken and don’t know where to turn.

After Milli’s mum Monica released this information on Team Millstar (FB page) they are being overwhelmed with endless love & support and are extremely grateful. THANK YOU!

Following a video conference call to PCH on Thursday, Milli’s parents were advised they could operate to remove the mass and the family were so ecstatic it could be done at home.

THEN....yesterday a phone call delivered the news that the hospital will NOT be performing Amelia’s surgery.

The family yet again turn to the world’s best surgeon Dr Charlie Teo who is and will be happy to perform this operation and give them hope once again.

PLEASE we are desperately asking the public once again to give Amelia more time.

She is still at school, attends dancing and singing lessons and is loving life.

Amelia is the bravest soul with the biggest smile that has captured all our hearts. She loves life to the fullest.

Amelia has recently got her wish in getting her new puppy and wants to spend more time enjoying her little Spritey.

Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) have now put Amelia into Palliative Care and advised there is NOTHING MORE THEY CAN DO.

PCH have said that they are unable to operate, chemotherapy is not working and all the radiotherapy she has received has not touched this horrible brain tumour and no further treatment is possible.

With the recent Immunotherapy trial Amelia was put on, her tumour doubled in size over a 4 month period and last week she was withdrawn from the trial.

The family in desperation sent Amelia’s latest scan and report over to Dr Charlie Teo, and received the news they were waiting for that he CAN and WILL operate! 

We are now seeking the public’s URGENT help in further fundraising, as the operation alone is going to cost over $43,000.

An appointment has been made to see Dr Teo on Tuesday, 28 May with surgery booked the very next day.

We are running against the clock and time is so very precious and your help is needed.

Tess is clear on her latest scan, and the focus at the moment is getting Amelia over to Sydney to meet Dr Charlie Teo and for immediate surgery.
