Amputee World Cup

Donation protected
Hi my name is Justin Guiney, I'm from Lisburn in Northern Ireland and I have some interesting news to share,

Ireland have qualified for the World Cup!

The Irish Amputee Football team have been given the chance to participate in the Amputee World Cup 2018 to be held in Mexico. Unfortunately this is very costly and I would like to ask for your help to assist with the cost of sending us over. Every member of the team, players, coaches and staff, are all working very hard on individual fundraisers to reach their own targets.

After finishing 6th in the European Championships in Turkey we have been training very hard in the preparation for the World Cup despite not knowing if we can afford to go.  The European Championships final was watched by more than 40,000 fans in the Vodafone Park, the home ground of Besiktas.  This is what we want, to reach the final, to win in front of a crowd supporting a sport that we love.

£1500 is a big target, but I hope with the help of the fans of football, we can make it.

I will also be doing individual personal challenges for reaching milestones in the fundraising.
£100 - Ice Bucket (PASSED 17/07/2018)
£250 - 25 Push Ups (one armed ) per day for 7 days (PASSED 18/07/2018)
£500 - +25 sit up challenge. 25 situps on day one, increasing by 25 per day for 7 days.  (PASSED 19/07/2018)
£1000 - 10k Run
£1500 - Waxing my legs

I will post videos of challenges on my own social media, Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/YouTube. Links will be found in comments as milestones are reached.  Thanks for your support from myself and everyone at Irish Amputee Football Team.

About me, I'm a goalkeeper for the Irish Amputee football Team, my left arm was amputated at the shoulder in a workplace incident in 2011.
Money raised via this campaign will be used directly to get us to the World Cup, the biggest cost for this trip is the flights. Once the target is reached (or hopefully surpassed) I will withdraw the funds into a specifically created bank account and then from there it will be transferred across to the Irish Amputee bank account along with all lodged cash donations and direct paypal donations that I have recieved.

Confirmation of transfer will be shown in an update on here.
