Andrea's Facial Feminisation
Donation protected
Two years ago, I heard the words that I believe, nobody would thought of hearing. My husband said to me one day, "you're going to hate me, but I want to become a woman." I was in shock, total shock. I just didn't see it coming. I had a choice, to either walk away or stay with the person I loved. I decided to stay, because leaving was never an option.
Over the coming year, we slowly transitioned to a new life. My husband slowly became my wife. Andrew became Andrea. Despite the hardships, we found a new happiness. We went through IVF and now have a precious baby boy who is the centre of her universe.
Andrea was bullied severely in the past during school because of her soft personality. In her heart, she knew she was a girl, but feared others would never except her, so she simply hid the secret and tried to forget, except she couldn't. The pain only grew stronger. She realised that she would never be able to tell our baby to always be true to himself if she couldn't do even do that.
However, one thing that always haunted Andrea is her self image - when she looks in the mirror, she can't see a complete female yet, instead she sees male features which plummets her confidence. She needs to have the facial feminisation surgery to fully feel like a woman - something we were blessed to be born with, but she wasn't. I just want her to be truly free.
Unfortunately, the operation is way out of our reach because of the cost. Hopefully with all our help, we can make her dream come true.
