Transform Andrea's life

I began my transformation two years ago. After years of living outwardly as a male, I finally embraced the person I have always been. My life has radically changed in these two years. I live openly and fully as the woman I am and love the freedom I experience in being myself.  I no longer feel like one person inside and a different person on the surface. I was able to change my name and gender marker last year and have been on hormone therapy for almost 18 months.

Now the time has come to take the next step in my transformation by undergoing gender confirmation surgery. This will bring my body into alignment with who I am and bring me internal peace. The procedure is recognized by the American Medical Association as medically necessary and appropriate for addressing Gender Dysphoria, which is the disconnection I feel between who I am and how my body appears.
 
I intend to have the procedure in February 2018. While I am employed and have medical coverage through my employer, at best I will still face significant costs out of pocket, and it is uncertain at this point whether my insurance will cover any of the procedure. However, the surgery must be paid for in advance. So I turn to you to help make this possible. It's a daunting mountain, but I believe it will happen, in part because of generous people like you.
