Animal Welfare In Qatar
Donation protected
The scorching hot summer months have dawned upon all of us in Doha. For many of us, the heat could be a mild inconvenience, but for animals in Qatar, it's a situation of desperation. As families travel out of the country on vacation or leave Qatar for good, many let out their pets on the streets to fend for themselves. To make matters worse, animal shelters struggle to make ends meet due to lack of donations and volunteers during the summer period and are at the risk of shutting down due to lack of funds.
Your Onion podcast interviewed the founders of Qatar Animal Welfare Society (QAWS) and PAWS to understand the problems and challenges faced by animal shelters and how the Doha community can help. Listen here: Animal Welfare in Qatar.
As part of our corporate social responsibility, the Ginger Camel team is also hosting this campaign to raise funds for QAWS and PAWS that will help them pay for shelter maintenance, diesel to transport animals, veterinary bills, and food for the hundreds of animals that they are sheltering. Please donate to this campaign and help save these shelters and allow them to continue to do the amazing work they've been doing so far.
