Annie's Return to Disney
Donation protected
I'm writing this for Annie because I know that she would never ask anyone for help or money. As a witness to her daily work ethic, kind heart, devotion to her friends and family, and then her recent vacation nightmare, I can tell you that she truly deserves this.
It's been a rough few months for Annie. She works three jobs as a nursery school teacher, dance instructor, and as a waitress. In August, while I was away with the army, she contracted hand-foot-and-mouth disease and was hospitalized. After she recovered, she was excited for a much needed vacation in September to her favorite place, Disney World. As soon as she got on the plane, she started to get sick. Vomiting and stomach pain bothered her all day as we traveled to Orlando. On her first full day in Disney, while visiting Magic Kingdom, the stomach pain became unbearable. She went back to the hotel and then to the hospital. She was diagnosed with appendicitis and told she had a rupture and needed emergency surgery.
Of her seven day trip to Disney World, she spent four days and three nights in the hospital. She was discharged and still recovering from her surgery in time to enjoy (in a wheelchair) a day in the parks before she was hospitalized again due to complications from her surgery. Her vacation was completely ruined and it was heartbreaking to watch. For someone who works as hard as she does and was looking forward to a trip to Disney, this bad timing for a medical emergency was devastating to Annie. She was heartbroken to watch her four year old daughter, Emma, spend days and nights in the hospital instead of in the parks and on her favorite rides.
Our goal is to raise enough money to send Annie back to Disney World in April for her birthday.
Here's a breakdown of what we're raising money for:
$350 for a round-trip main cabin Delta ticket
$350 for a 3 day park hopper ticket
$250 for 1/3 of the hotel room cost (Annie would be one of three people on this trip)
She deserves a chance to get back to her favorite place in the world and enjoy the vacation that she missed out on. I know she would be grateful for any donation and her return trip will move her to tears.
Thank you!
