Rubbish Ray Trash Removal Robots
Donation protected
We are currently working on a project involving the creation of a robotics platform to collect trash from the Washington D.C. watershed. The robot, constructed from mostly recycled materials would be able to operate autonomously and in a swarm to organize trash collection routes. We have previously developed a model that we submitted to the Alexandria City Science fair, where we placed second in the category of Robotics and Intelligent machines. However, in order for us to reach our goal, we must be able to rapidly reproduce several robots, in addition to modifying the current model to be more efficient.
Our goal is to be able to raise $500 dollars for the development of three robots that would be able to operate autonomously and utilize principles of swarm robotics to plan effective, efficient trash collection routes.
We wish to both compete in engineering fairs, and help to eliminate a problem that is commonly noticed around our community. If succsesful, our robots would help make our community a cleaner, happier place to live
