#JONESSTRONG

July 7th 2018 This is the day our lives changed I found my dad unresponsive at his home from then he was life flighted to Holmes Regional in Melbourne FL where the doctors found that my dad had suffered from a stroke which put him in AFIB Heart Rhythm which then threw off a blood clot to his brain stem with each passing minute a part of his brain stem was dying the best doctors took on this long enduring procedure 5 hours past and they were able to remove the clot! This is where my dads life changes after surgery his brain began to swell they were able to get it under control with out anymore surgeries from there he has had no new changes in his cat scans which is great. He has had a UTI and Aspiration Ammonia. He has what the doctors call the diagonal effect from the stroke this means his right eye opens and his left side of his body can move he is on a soft food diet and we are able to get a couple words out of him it changes day to day he has his good days and his bad days and he has trouble waking up on his own.  My dad is very happy when he hears music he starts tapping along and singing and puts a big smile on his face but he also goes through a lot of emotions right now and that is very hard to see. All in all the doctors are amazed at how far he has come one even told me he was SHOCKED! They are starting him on Anticoagulation meds and he has finished his rounds of antibiotics. 
The next journey for my dad is rehab I have chosen one of the top rehab hospitals in the state of Florida. Brooks Rehab Hospital in Jacksonville FL he will under go multiple therapies ex. learning how to feed and eat himself, physical, cognitive ,speech, bladder and most importantly they have Music Therapy (I know my dad is going to love that) 

Along with this will come expenses medical bills, house hold bills, travel, prescriptions, athletic clothing and shoes I am asking if you can make a donation to my dad while he endures this long tough journey we would truly be blessed. We all know he is a fighter!
For those of you that know my dad you know he would give the shirt off of his back to help anyone and he has made a big impact on many peoples lives.
