Rent and Transportation

I've been trying to make it as a creative writer and I've had some success but the income from my work hasn't been anywhere close enough to providing for my needs. I had high hopes that a recent book proposal would be accepted and the advance from it would cover my needs for several months while I found conventional employment but despite three publishers being interested in the project, things fell through in the contract negotiations and the project is on hold. In the meantime, my expenses have been exhausted and I'm looking at losing my home. I've been blessed enough to have friends willing to help me with my rent for the last couple months but even then, I've had trouble scraping up enough money to pay for my utilities, groceries and medicine.

I need help to buy a basic, no frills car. Anything that runs and will get me from point A to point B so I can get to work. My health has limited my job opportunities and a lack of transportation has killed any chance for a job outside of my home. I'm at the end of my rope and I'm pretty desperate. My books haven't provided a stable source of income for me and work at home jobs are unreliable at best. I need reliable transportation to get a job that will provide me a stable income. I've been able to get rides to and from interviews but I won't be able to get a ride to and from work everyday.

Once I have a job, and can get my expenses under control, I can get back to writing and continue to pursue my dream of one day being a great writer.
