Paradise Bowhunters Fire Recovery
Donation protected
On November 8, 2018 the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history swept through Butte County consuming the communities of Paradise, Concow, Magalia, and Centerville. In the wake of the devastation 85 lives were lost, over 18,000 structures were destroyed and the Paradise Bowhunters archery range was reduced to cinders.
Our organization was nearing the completion of a 5 year rejuvenation effort that involved rebuilding all 48 target houses on our 26 acre course, repairing all of our 3D animal targets with a self healing foam rubber, and removing every hay bale to be replaced with layered foam target blocks.
This tragedy has struck us deeply physically, emotionally, and financially. Like most clubs we operate solely on volunteer efforts and a minimal budget and we were not insured against this catastrophe.
We are calling on our archery family to support us in our recovery as we plan to repair and rebuild our facilities.

Our losses include :
Our club quad runner and trailer stored in the above pictured building along with a generator, propane cooktops, a pack blower, and various other tools for maintaining the range.
50 life-size 3D animal targets.
47 out of 48 Target houses.
47 out of 48 Big Boy Target blocks. bbatargets.com
Our club supplies trailer that was stored in town was also lost to the fire.
Amidst all this devastation our hearts are still strong and our commitment to archery and bowhunting remains. With your help we will rise above this and rebuild our club better than ever before.
Sincerely,
Neil M. Krivoski
