Help Us Build a New Home for Artcite Inc. In Ford City!

Artcite Inc. thrives on the generosity of supporters like you. We're excited to announce that we're moving our gallery to Ford City to create a fully accessible and welcoming space for everyone in our community. Our new location at 998 Drouillard Road will open in April 2025, featuring enhanced facilities to better serve you.

This move is a crucial step in our mission to continue offering innovative programs and exhibitions that inspire and engage our community. Our current downtown location presents accessibility challenges and requires us to vacate for a month each year. By relocating, we can provide consistent, year-round programming and fully accessible facilities, including a new reception area, a front office for public access to our physical archives, and two gallery spaces for major and local exhibitions, residencies, workshops, and community events.

We're aiming to raise $20,000 to fund necessary renovations, including new interior walls, track lighting, flooring, archive storage, and more. Your support is invaluable in helping us achieve our mission and continue our work in the community. For more information on who we are and what we do, scroll down to the “About Us” section below.

Thank you for considering a donation to Artcite Inc. Together, we can foster a vibrant, creative community and expand the visibility of contemporary arts within our region.

About Us

Artcite Inc. is a non-profit, artist-run centre for the contemporary arts, dedicated exclusively to expanding the visibility of contemporary arts within our region and advancing the professional presentation, promotion, and animation of contemporary art forms.

Established in 1982, we are a registered charitable organization directed by our members, a volunteer board, and a small staff, the majority of whom are practicing artists. We support local, regional, national, and international artists who work in various media and disciplines, and who are at varying stages of their careers, with particular support for emerging, new generation and culturally under-represented artists.

In our efforts to create progressive, inclusive, and engaging forums for critical dialogue, professional development, cultural exchange, and outreach between the contemporary artists and communities we serve, we also presents guest artist lectures; workshops and residencies; site-specific installations and public art projects; social advocacy actions; film and video screenings; multi-disciplinary performance events; and other special projects.
