It all started in 1938. Overnight a bustling summer community was destroyed by a 160 mile/hour hurricane losing 800 lives. This event was followed in 1954 by Hurricane Carol and in 1961 by Hurricane Donna.
Oakland Beach has never fully recovered leading to an area ravaged by drugs, crime, and poverty, slowly recovering over the past 20 years. Art Space PaVa will provide a venue for its citizens, adults and children alike, to have an opportunity to learn, participate, heal, and come together through the Performing and Visual Arts. Our purpose is to make available classes, exhibits, performances, as well as workspace for an artist/teaching co-op.
Art Space PaVa is a non-profit organization needing your financial help to accomplish this goal. Please give generously. All donations are tax deductable.
