Successor Service Dog for Courtney
Donation protected
Recently Courtney lost her amazing Service Dog and best friend, Usher, to an aggressive form of Cancer. Although it will NEVER be possible for there to ever be another Usher, Courtney needs a successor service dog to walk by her side, help her when needed, support her, cuddle with her and do what all service dogs do best...allow a person to live life independently and to the fullest.
CARES, Inc., the organization that Usher was from, have a successor service dog available for Courtney. Courtney would be able to meet her new dog, train with the new dog, and take the public access test over her winter college break. She then could return to college in January with her new dog by her side.
We only have a few short weeks to pull this all together and we find ourselves needing to reach out for financial help. We have to travel to Kansas so Courtney can meet and train with her new dog. She will need to take and pass the public access test. Then they will be an official service dog team. Financial assistance is needed to raise funds to cover the cost of the new service dog, a rental car and hotel while in Kansas.
Any funds that we raise that we do not use towards Courtney's new service dog will be donated to CARES, Inc. to help another person obtain a service dog.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
