Assistive Device Project

We are the Northumberland makers and we wish to use our knowledge and Technology to assist the people of Northumberland County with arthritis and other mobility issues. We are making 3D printed devices to make people's lives easier. To start with we are making four devices:   Key Turner - help to open a door lock Two types of writing devices - Aid in writing Bottle opener - help to open bottles Any amount you give will be put to use printing 3d Assistive devices. A small donation of a few dollars will allow us to print one device. $40.00 will allow us to buy a roll of filament and print many devices. $100.00 will allow us to print a case of devices. $400.00 will allow us to purchase a new printer and increase our production. We have also started a network of Makers with 3d printers at home . Presently we have four home printers across the county printing the Assistive devices. We will be distributing devices through occupational therapists who work directly with clients and understand their needs. As time goes on we will develop and distribute additional devices.
