Abandoned Puppy

This poor little 4-month old Australian Sheppard is suffering from Sarcoptic mange and secondary infections. He was found abandoned in grain fields about 8 miles south west of Roberts Idaho during the Heart of Idaho Century Ride on August 12th.
I was 20-miles into the 100 mile bicycle ride when I came upon this little guy at my first rest stop. He was thirsty and very, very hungry and he kept trying rub is scabby and bloody face on my leg because he itched so badly. I couldn’t allow this poor puppy to suffered any longer so I asked a couple of volunteers at the rest stop if they would take him to a veterinarian in Idaho Falls and I would take responsibility for his care.
My wife and I have fallen in love with this pup and we are going to keep him. It’s going to take several months to get him healthy and the bills are piling up quickly. I expect the total cost to get him healthy to be $1,000, which we are hoping friends can help us with. All donations in excess of the actual cost to rid him of this dreaded disease and get him healthy will be donated to Bonneville Human Society in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I want to thank the staff at Idaho Falls Veterinary Emergency Clinic for their assistance and compassion as well as Juan L for volunteering to take this pup to the vet for me until I could ride back into town.
We haven’t chosen a name for him yet so please post some names that might fit this little guys. Please be nice and don’t post cruel or vulgar names.
