Austin Trzebiatowki-Strupp's Fight

Austin Trzebiatowski is currently in the middle of his freshman year at Menomonee Falls High School. Austin has always been a very active athlete, participating in basketball, football, track and baseball most of his life. He has maintained honor roll status  while juggling his many sports activities.  On January 30, Austin got news that greatly impacted his life. Austin has ALL Leukemia.  While he should be actively wrapping up his season with his freshman basketball team, instead he is adjusting to his new normal of fighting for his life.  After spending a week in the hospital, he was finally released to continue his fight at home. Unfortunately he hasn't felt well enough to get back to school or participate in normal daily life which is really hard for such an active kid.  By his side every moment has been his dedicated, loving mom, Sue.  What is harder than a kid fighting for his life?  Being a mom of a kid fighting for his life.  As parents, we would love to take away all hurdles our kids are going through. The next best thing is to be there for every possible thing our kids could need or want. That is what Sue has always done for Austin and will continue to do during this battle.  Because of that, Sue is foregoing her main job to stay by Austin's side. It's bad enough to watch your child go through such difficult struggles, but to have to worry about financial issues is just an unnecessary burden that we call all help with. Austin is looking at a three year plan in order to successfully beat this disease.  That is the rest of his high school years. Imagine what that would to be like as a parent.
