Amplify

Amplify is the start of a brand new musical movement - one which attempts to unify like-minded musicians in using their talents to help groups that are endangered systemically, socially, and/or politically.  The idea was conceived after (and in response to) the United States election of 2016.  Our hope is that other communities elsewhere in the USA will create their own Amplify events for causes of their choosing!

This first event is taking place in Baltimore, at the American Visionary Arts Museum.  It features a diverse and talented lineup of musicians from the area, including Femi the Drifish and the Out of Water Experience, Janel Leppin's Volcanic Ash Ensemble, and Aaron Hill's Fruition Experience, with Eze Jackson MC'ing the event!  All proceeds from ticket sales at the door, and any money received beyond the cost of the event (about $5,000) are going directly to the Terp DREAM Scholarship at UMD for first-generation undergraduate students, an important goal since the school faces loss of sanctuary status under the Trump administration.

This event is coming up fast - May 19th!  We need your help!  Costs of rental/production add up quickly, and since this is a brand new idea it takes some effort to get it rolling.  Your donation is a valuable contribution to the community, and if this concept really takes off you'll know that you helped make it happen!
