Tokyo 2020

As the sports editor for a small local chain of newspapers, I've had the pleasure to cover two previous Olympics, 2014 in Sochi and 2018 in PyeongChang. In both cases, I've been honored that people have supported my journeys and I am hopeful to cover my first Summer Olympics, in Tokyo in 2020. While my company has helped me make these trips, many of the expenses fall to me. Covering the Olympics as a member of the press allows free entry into the events and free transportation around the venues. However, press are responsible for their own flights to and from the host city, as well as for their accommodations (though we get discounted rates) and most meals.  This can be an expensive venture but I am looking forward to the chance to experience the Summer Games and I am extremely grateful to anyone who can help provide this experience for me.
