Holidays for the Homeless
Donation protected
Hello beautiful people! It's that time of the year again...time for Jess and Zach's Second Annual Holidays for the Homeless project! The holiday season is approaching quickly...Christmas music and trees are already in all the stores (I know, where has this year gone?) but unfortunately, not everyone will have the means to celebrate this year...or even to be warm, comfortable and fed.
Luckily, there are several programs out there that aim to help young ones enjoy the holidays such as the Angel Tree and Toys for Tots (which are super great! And if you have the means you should absolutely consider donating!) but unfortunately, the adults sometimes get overlooked and forgotten.
According to the New Beginnings of Central Florida, over 75,000 people are homeless in our state, and of that, 10,000 are located in Central Florida alone.
Around the holidays, my brother and I want to make sure that everyone feels loved and knows they're not alone, and can enjoy the holiday season. And this is where YOU come in! We're collecting donations of both the physical and monetary nature to help spread holiday cheer. We plan to purchase as much as we can on our own to make gift bags, however we won't be able to help as many people as we hope to all on our own. Last year we were able to raise enough donations that it took two cars to transport everything! And we're hoping that this year we can touch even more lives. So if you're able, please consider donating even just a few dollars to our cause. And if you can't, even just sharing information about our project and helping to get the word out there helps! We will have the GoFundMe page up until the first Staturday in December, and will be passing everything out on the Second Saturday in December. Thank you so much in advance for your generosity and kindness.
