On Sunday 15 May, Master and I will take part in a Step Out for Stroke Event being organised by the Stroke Association. This will mean that we walk together for 2.5 miles along the esplanade at Broughty Ferry, near Dundee...
All the funds we raise will go to the Deeside Stroke Group in Aboyne and Master will donate a similar amount to the Stroke Association. The group - which gets great support from the Stroke Association - provides regular weekly exercise from a qualified exercise professional for people who have been affected by stroke. Attending this class means that Master will be fit enough to be able to continue walking with me every day in the woods near our home. Funds will be used to purchase equipment for the group and will help to make it affordable for all. There is no other similar support for stroke survivors in this part of the world.
