Bring Baby Liberty home
Donation protected
We are in desperate need of help to continue to fight for this baby and her future.
This is Liberty Belle Phillips. She was born addicted to drugs. The mother and father are severe intravenous drug users. The father is a violent domestic offender.
My husband is her maternal uncle. Her mother placed her with us December 2015. We had Liberty for 10 months and the courts, DCF, and the Guardian ad Litem's agreed she was "thriving" in our home. The guardian ad litem had stated the the child would NOT be safe from physical, emotional, and mental endangerment if she were in the parents life. We were 3 weeks away from trial to terminate parents rights and finish the adoption process. The paternal family obtained an attorney and filed an intervention. The courts granted their intervention and placed Liberty with the paternal Uncle. This man had a warrant for his arrest at the time of placement for a domestic battery charge on his wife. The wife's younger brother is a convicted felon for lewd and lascivious acts on a child. The father has access to her now, who has an outstanding warrant for the most recent domestic battery on the mother. The guardian ad litem stated.. "Reunifying Liberty with her father could jeopardize her physical safty and well being." And suggested that my husband and I adopt her. "The child has formed a parental like relationship with the caregivers."
NOW, The courts have placed her with criminals.
We want this child safe and thriving again. We know she is sad, and confused. If anyone could help at all, any amount will help... we need financial help with getting a great dependency attorney to keep fighting for this baby! We have already spent our Savings on the first round of court motions. Thank you for reading and sharing our story, and keeping us in your thoughts and prayers!!
