Backyard Terrors Dinosaur Park Legal Aid

Donation protected
Hello everyone,  for the past several years we have been attempting to do what the county asked of us to comply with their codes and zoning  regulations.  We have spent quite a bit fighting to make everything workout.  This past week we received a letter from a Sullivan County Attorney threatening fines and jail time if all the conditions in his letter were found to not be met on re inspection in one week.   While most of these conditions have been met and we do not understand why they are even on there, for example "Failure to establish a non-profit status to legally collect donations " We went through many difficulties and expense to finally become a non profit last year, we received the confirmation from the Government and IRS in July of 2018.    Another, "Failure to Retain Natural Buffering "  We haven't removed one tree from the property's perimeter and even planted additional trees as instructed and the neighbors on that side didn't even ask for them.   There are maybe two items on this list we have not finished but are working toward.   Last year we received a bill for almost 20,000.00 for the electrical work we were required to do to stay open. The Park does not make this much on donations or even with fundraiser events though they do help.  It's become apparent we will need legal aid to deal with this and help us continue to provide a fun, safe place for families, teachers, and kids of all ages to learn outdoors.
