Ballerina Maddie’s Motorcycle Wreck

Meet little Madilyn! As you can see, she was dancing before she could walk. She is beautiful and caring and oh, so very talented. She’s spent every waking moment of her life dreaming and pondering the art of ballet. Anyone who might be lucky enough to have a conversation with her is charmed and enamoured in an instant as she always has a story to tell about the classics. She’s a wonderful, beautiful human being. She studied every moment of her life in ballet, attending The Kirov Academy of Ballet through high school, and persuing a degree in dance at Southern Methodist University. She’s worked so hard for the skills and grace she possesses in Ballet. This year she was finally casted in her dream role; Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker! However, everything changed on July 26th, 2018.
Maddie was struck by a distracted driver while riding on the back of a motorcycle. The police report concluded the other driver was totally at fault. Regardless, her career was instantly demolished. She can no longer walk on her own and requires multiple surgeries on her knees and her face. It may be a long time before she dances again, if ever.  Maddie just had her 26th birthday which means her insurance is running out. It will be nearly impossible to pay for the procedures and appointments she needs to get better. In addition, she may lose her job since she can’t work. Dancers do not make very much and the savings have already been dried up.  She cannot do this alone.Maddie needs your help and support  during this process to make sure she has access to the surgeries and procedures she needs in order to get back to keeping classical ballet alive!
