Raising Money for the ex-Baltimore Eagle Employees who lost their jobs and 2nd home on 25 July 2018.
Everyone has their personal story associated with the Eagle. For me, it was a very first place I was able to forget (at least for a moment) the socioeconomic restraints and the walls I have been building around me for years. Being around familiar faces and their smiles few nights a week, made me feel safe and very confident. A very new and unique emotion.... And now, it’s gone.
SMILES NEED OUR HELP. IT IS OUR TURN TO MAKE THEM FEEL PROTECTED. THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING VERY HARD, BALANCED ON A KNIFE’S EDGE. SOME PEOPLE ARE FOOD AND HOUSING INSECURE. THERE WERE A LOT OF TEARS SHED ON THE CLOSING NIGHT. AND SOME PEOPLE WHO MAY NOT HAVE A SAFETY NET.
Raised money will be distributed by Greg K. to whomever needs the most (groceries, bills, etc.) to keep those smiles shining!
