Basecamp Everest
Donation protected
On the 14th April 2019 I will be putting on my hiking boots and beginning my ascent to Everest Base Camp. Not only will I be there to explore the beautiful and breathtaking scenery of Nepal but I am also trekking for a cause! We will take on Mount Everest Base Camp in an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the highest altitude fitness class ever held. The trek is a 12 day journey beginning from Lukla to Everest Base Camp. The GymBallina has organised this trek to raise funds and awareness in aid of Rivermoy Search and rescue.
A little bit about the foundation...
The organisation consists of a group of volunteers who will help in a search for somebody who may have been tragically lost in an inland waterbody. The principal objective is to perform search and recovery work on the River Moy in Ballina. It is a voluntary non-profit making organisation.
