Beccies's Kick Cancer's Ass Fund

Shortly after Beccie, currently 37 years old, had her beautiful daughter Katie, she found out she had cancer.  For those of you that know Beccie, you know she is a fighter and incredibly strong.  She has been battling lung cancer over the last year completing a series of chemo therapy and moving onto immunotherapy treatments currently.  As progress has been minimal she is planning to pursue more progressive treatment out of country that offers real results that are not available in the US.  This page is about collecting funds to cover her cost so that she can receive this cutting edge treatment as it is her best chance to kick cancers ass.

Specifically the money will help cover the cost of travel to Europe with her husband Greg and 16 month old daughter, the treatment (~$60,000) itself and offset ongoing expenses at home (mortgage, utility bills, etc.) while working a reduced schedule.  Her husband and daughter will be with her in Europe to help her throughout this process and will give her the motivation to fight for them. 

Beccie, who has worked at Booz Allen for 17 years, is truly awesome.  She is a machine at work, effectively managing all on-going operations for our JIDO Mission IT SWDEV delivery team.  Despite facing the most difficult battle of her life she has not missed a beat a work, which is not surprising if you know her.  Her work ethic and ability to keep her spirits high is inspiration to all of us.  I know that she is prepared to win this battle, but we can help ease some of the financial burden by donating to her cause.   Please give as much as you can so that she, her family and medical staff can focus on saving her life to see her amazing daughter grow up.  If you cannot donate money, please consider donating airline miles and/or hotel points to help alleviate the travel costs.
