Ever since I was a little kid, I've always imagined that I could fly.
And now, I'm looking to make that young boy's dream a reality.
Hi, my name is Pete Lopeno, and I'm currently filming a documentary called 'Becoming the Man of Steel: A Personal Journey'. Over the course of the next sixteen months, I will be documenting what it takes, both physically and mentally, to live up to the ideals of the world's greatest super hero.
In order to accomplish this, I have two goals in mind for this project:
- GOAL NUMBER 1, is to put my body through a rigorous physical transformation so that I can appear at Chicago Comicon in 2017 as the Man of Steel himself.
- GOAL NUMBER 2, is to help those in need. Now, I know that I can't fly half way across the world to save a little girl from a burning building, or leap tall buildings in a single bound. But, there are definately other meaningful ways that we can all be super heroes in our own lives.
And that.. is where this Go Fund Me campaign comes in.
I started this campaign, not only fund this project, but to raise money for those who could use a helping hand.
I'm looking to raise $2000 to be contributed between two different charities, 'Action Against Hunger' and 'Feeding America'.
Every thirty seconds, a child dies from hunger somewhere across the world. Even right here in the United States, the most plentiful country on the face of the earth, 1 in 7 people face face hunger every single day, and I want to help make a difference... when and wherever I can.
So, if you're willing to donate $5 to this project, you will be listed in the ending credits of 'Becoming the Man of Steel: A Personal Journey' as a contributor.
If you donate $10 dollars or more to the project, you will not only be listed as a contributor to the project, but you will also receive a free digital copy of the documentary upon completion in 2018.
