Mike and Rebekah's Home Rebuilding
Donation protected
A week after celebrating their first anniversary, Michael and Rebekah Maricelli were shocked when their home in a non-flood zone came into danger because of their nearness to a drainage ditch. They left for a friend's house before water could rise and didn't expect to flood, so couldn't believe it when they could only access their neighborhood by boat the next day. An area that was once laughed at when asking about flood insurance was now sitting in two feet of water.
With no flood insurance, down to one vehicle and under construction for the unforeseeable future, the Maricellis are grateful for their friends and their jobs, but they know there is a long road ahead.
Most furniture, clothes, kitchenware, and personal belongings are ruined. Funds will be used to help to rebuild their home (sheetrock, flooring, electrical, etc.) and replace furniture and belongings that were lost. Michael and Rebekah are grateful for so much generosity and how they've already seen God's hand in this, and know there are many lessons to be learned.
