After almost 2 years of waiting, the Beefy Crunch is back! Well... not really.

You see, Taco Bell is currently testing the Beefy Crunch Burrito as part of a Throwback Burritos promotion.  It's where you can get a Beefy Crunch or a Cheesy Double Beef Burrito individually or with a drink as a combo for $2! This test is ONLY being run in the Louisville Kentucky area. The success of this test will determine if the rest of the country will get to try the most beloved and highly anticipated burrito from Taco Bell.


The mission of this GoFundMe campaign is simple. We want the test to succeed. In fact, we want it to succeed so much that we are going to try crowdfunding for the first time ever. We want to send a message to Taco Bell that the loyal fans of the Beefy Crunch Burrito and the Beefy Crunch Movement are not just in Louisville. We're in hundreds of cities from all corners of this great country. (This map represents less than 400 entries from a "Where are you from?" survey.)



We are willing to buy Beefy Crunch Burritos, even if we won't have the chance to eat them, if it means that we will get to eat them once again.

That's right. Every possible Beefy Crunch Burrito that can be bought with the amount donated, will be bought. We have what we are calling Beefy Crunch Movement Ambassadors at the ready to organize lunch/dinner parties, fully funded by other Beefy Crunch lovers around the USA. They're ready to "Feed it forward" and offer strangers a free Beefy Crunch or two courtesy of someone hundreds if not thousands of miles away. They're ready to reach out to homeless and hungry and provide them with a free meal or two with no strings attached. As long as the food will not be wasted, we will buy Beefy Crunch Burritos and no distance is too great to stop us.

Our message to Taco Bell is clear. You asked us on April 24th, "What would you do to bring back the Beefy Crunch Burrito?" Time and time again we have answered this in the most astounding ways. In 2013, Justin literally got a Tattoo of the Beefy Crunch on his arm. Reuben jumped out of a plane for the first time, and second time just to eat a Beefy Crunch. Two years later, the question was answered once more.

After hearing that the sightings in Louisville would not rollout nationwide, we had several people embark on immense road-trips, travelling thousands of miles. Tired of waiting, they packed their bags and got in their cars. Patrick drove 1,200 miles from Williamsport, PA to Louisville, KY leaving at 11PM on Memorial Day and driving all night long. Tired of hacking her own burritos, Becca marked her map , and set off for Louisville some 2,300 miles west in San Francisco, CA. That's right. 4,600 miles were added to her odometer just so she could taste the Beefy Crunch as it used to be.  And these are just the insane ones.
Arvin drove 160 miles.
Angie drove 280 miles .
Noah drove 500 miles.
And this is all within the first week.



But it's not just the big things that make a difference. Sometimes it's the little things, like making a Ceramic version of the Beefy Crunch Burrito in school! :)





The great lengths individuals have gone to show their dedication are only compounding with time and we'll continue to highlight these demonstrations so long as people are willing to fight.

The motto of this movement has always been about reminding people that they have a voice and that it deserves to be heard. After a year went by without the Beefy Crunch in 2014, I made a simple request for our fans. "Keep speaking." And boy have they been speaking. But we are more than what you are seeing over the last few months. We have been fighting for over 4 years.


Taco Bell brought the Beefy Crunch into the world in late December 2010. This would be the start to the latest and ongoing partnership between Frito Lays and Taco Bell. After 6 months, they pulled the plug and I created a Facebook Page asking for it back.  Thousands joined, they flew me to their HQ, (which was awesome) and they brought it back! They took it away again, and then they brought it back! Then they took it away... and kept it away for nearly 2 years. In the mean time they managed to make Frito Burritos, 3 Doritos Tacos, Crunchwrap Sliders (with Fritos) and recently unveiled Fritos Tacos coming soon. And now they're TESTING the Beefy Crunch again. This is a very quick recap of the last 4 years of the Beefy Crunch Movement.

At the end of the day, Richard is just your fellow Taco Bell patron who loves the Beefy Crunch Burrito as much as you do and has decided to take a stand. Where we are today wouldn't be without the 17,400+ on Facebook and 4,500+ on Twitter and it's a privalege to be representing you... US on this journey.
