Evan Carpenter Memorial Fund
On January 18th, 14-year-old Evan Carpenter suffered a sudden brain aneurysm at home and stopped breathing. His father performed CPR while his younger brother called 9-1-1. After arriving at the hospital Evan fell into a coma and suffered a pulmonary edema. Surgeons at the Victoria General Hospital performed a double craniotomy which he survived. Evan then preceded to fight for 26 hours but tragically lost his battle. On the morning of January 20th he was pronounced brain dead. Evan’s parents made the decision to donate his organs so that their incomprehensible loss could become his incredible legacy. Evan saved many lives and is the true definition of a superhero. Please consider becoming an organ donor in your area so that one day we can all #BeLikeEvan
If you would like to make a donation, all funds will go towards covering the cost of Evan’s funeral and supporting his family. Any remaining funds will be donated to a charity in Evan’s memory. I am Evan's uncle and will be withdrawing the funds on Elissa & Scott's behalf and then transferring the funds to them and whomever else I am asked to. Thank you so very much for your support.
