Bellevue Public Safety Foundation: Hovercraft

Tax deductible
The Bellevue Public Safety Foundation is a non-profit organization raising money to purchase a water rescue hovercraft, trailer, associated water rescue protective equipment, and communication equipment.

The Bellevue Fire Department in Nebraska is in a critical need of a Hovercraft Water Rescue Boat. This boat will be used in water & ice rescue incidents on the Missouri River, Platte River and many surrounding lakes and other waterways. This watercraft will also be available to surrounding communities through request of mutual aid.

The City of Bellevue has experienced extreme flooding multiple times over the last 8 years. Most recently, during the flooding  on March 15, 2019 firefighter were forced to make water rescue's utilizing very small paddle boats with no engines.

A hovercraft allows for immediate deployment in both water and land terrain, which significantly improves our response times  when citizens are trapped by floodwaters.

Your donations are greatly appreciated.
