We were obviously struck hard when our brother, Bennett was diagnosed with cancer. We felt we needed to do something so we decided along with Bennett that we want to raise raise money to help cure children's cancer.
Bennett was diagnosed on February 20, 2017 with a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, called Burkitt lymphoma. Burkitt lymphoma is a type of cancer that originates in cells of the immune system, called lymphocytes. Burkitt lymphoma is the most common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in children. It often grows first in the lymph tissue of the head and neck, including the tonsils, or in the abdomen. Today, more than 90% of children with Burkitt lymphoma are cured of the disease.
Bennett has been undergoing treatment at the Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack University Hospital with the most compassionate professionals and now wants to give back to help Tackle Kids Cancer (TKC). TKC is helping those who need it most by advancing research and providing children access to the highest level of care. We invite you to join Bennett in this effort, where every dollar raised benefits the essential clinical care, unique support services and ground-breaking research needed to find a cure.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for your support.
