Kids from Bermuda Rider Development

After 10 long years, the Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club is once again teaming up with M1GP to expose 9 talented youth racers to outstanding, advanced training in California in April 2018.



About the Cause

The Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club (BMRC) is currently facilitating nine youth racers in their goal to participate in an international M1GP training weekend at the Willow Springs Raceway in California. As an extension of their local Youth Riding Clinics, they aim to support talented youth in gaining valuable training and priceless race experience through motorsports both on and off-island.

The group of youth racers includes children ages 8 to 17. All young riders have raced in their national Circuit Racing Championship Series, with this training weekend being their first overseas experience. Riders are Keimari Burchall (17), Nathaniel Binega-Northcott (15), Aiden Lopes (14), Sheun Simmons (12), Jediah Cumbermack (12), Kymaree Pitt (11), Norre Robinson (10), Aeziah Divine (8) and Ryan Chequer (8).

Where the Funds Will Go

All funds raised will go directly to the group of Bermudian youth racers for them to attend the overseas training weekend. The amount includes the cost for flights ($550 per child), accommodation ($2,200 total), transportation ($1,500 total), and M1GP training and track fees.

The group has already raised over $2,000 towards their overall goal and has numerous fundraisers planned over the coming weeks. Their last two fundraisers brought in $500 each between a bake sale over the 2017 race season and a car wash in January 2018.

By investing in the development of youth in sports, we are providing a positive and constructive outlet for children and teens to focus their energy and explore a skill and passion that they are talented in. Coming from a small country in the middle of the Atlantic, the group of Bermudian youth have found their passion and hold the potential to represent their country on an international level - but they need help reaching these heights.
