This page is created for someone dear to my heart, my sister, Bernice Maisonet.
Bernice has devoted her adult life to caring, loving, inspiring, and teaching young children (17 years). She gives so much of her time, talent, and finances to her students and/or classroom. Students enjoy Ms. Maisonet’s class because she makes each one feel special and makes learning fun. Countless memories she’s made for 238+ young ones through her ministry of teaching.

Well, I’ve witnessed my sister do this time and time again. Bernice has suffered huge losses and pain in her life. Yet, her faith in God along with the support of her family, keeps her pressing forward enjoying good conversation, laughter, and fun times with those who surround her.
Sadly, Bernice recently was diagnosed with breast cancer. The news was unexpected and shocking to our family! She has been scheduled for bilateral mastectomy on Monday, April 17th, 2017. Bernice will be unable to finish the school year due to her surgery and treatment.
Some have asked…….. How to help?????
Firstly, PRAYER!!! Prayers for peace, medical team, healing and finances.
Secondly, GIVING!! Medical and household bills have been tough to manage as a single woman, and will only get tougher without compensation.
I’d like for her to find comfort in the knowledge that there are friends and family who understand and care by helping to meet her financial needs.
The amount of $7,400 will cover her outstanding medical bills, rent, utilities, and car payment for April and May. Any monies received beyond that amount will carry her through the summer. Our hope is that she will be strong enough to resume for the upcoming school year 2017-18
