Fencing Teen Brothers Lose it All

USA Junior Fencing Olympians, GS3 Harris (17yrs) & Praze Harris (16yrs) returned home from a family vacation to find their prize possessions were stolen: fencing equipment, clothes, etc.  Through Fencing the Harris brothers are very familiar with the words discipline and focus. These techniques enable them both to be positive role models for their siblings and peers. The young scholars are very engaged in their sports and academic excellence.


Being members of the only Black fencing club in the Atlanta Public School System, this sport serves as a tool that steers them away from many of the negative influences within the West Atlanta area. Currently, GS3 is pursuing a career in mechanical engineering with a GA Tech internship while holding 3.8 GPA at B.E.S.T. Academy. He is also the captain of the schools thriving Fencing team. Some of GS3's other recreational activities include playing the guitar and saxophone. Following his elder brother's footsteps, Praze Harris is also an academic scholar at B.E.S.T. Academy. He plays the viola and the drums. Praze's future aspiration including becoming an OBGYN.

In this tragedy, all of the team's fencing equipment was stolen which includes helmets, blades, gloves, & other necessary team gear. This prevents the entire team from being able to compete in upcoming competitions. Not only were the Harris brothers and their teammates affected by the home burglary, the entire Harris family will reap the consequence of this heinous act of selfishness. The burglars stole all of the children’s school clothes, shoes, gaming systems, instruments (acoustic & electronic guitars), computers and other educational electronics. 

Being raised by a single mother with 5 young children, one could only imagine the amount of devastation this incident has caused on the Harris brothers and their siblings. This family is faced with the difficult task of rebuilding their lives and they need your support in making those efforts possible.

Please help us by supporting the Harris Brothers in attempted to raise money to help their mother with the cost of replacing what was taken from them! They are starting completely over as they have lost almost everything.  Any amount is appreciated!!
