April - May .:. This is when music is being made!
Why in the world do I need $12,000?
* Equipment is expensive when you're trying to make something sound pretty.
* Engineering and all the hours it takes to simply track songs is a lot of work for the engineer, the musician/the singer and the producer.
* Producing is the most crucial part of a song. From guitar lead lines to drum solos and bells, production gives a song it's identity.
* Mixing is the part after all the instrumentation and vocals have been recorded where the levels of each track is normalized so nothing sticks out like a sore thumb.
* Mastering. This is the most expensive part. This is also where the magic happens that can't be explained very well, but it makes people's ears dance when they hear a well mastered song.
* Duplication. Everyone forgets about this step. Once it's recorded, you need money to have an actual, physical album.
* Legalities. These songs need to be copyrighted and published the right way. This also takes money.
Anything that you can give is much appreciated.
