Help Betty Roxx Make Rent!

My friend Betty and I have been through so much of life together - from kindergarten to Girl Scouts, to rock concerts and art-making (when she sometimes goes by Betty Roxx), to day-to-day life as adults. One of the things I’ve always admired about Betty is that she took the path of nursing. It is such a positive vocation to have the desire and skill to be a direct, physical help to others for decades.

This morning, Betty called me in serious distress. She was unexpectedly let go from a nursing job a while back and she’s gotten behind in rent. She is now a little more than two weeks away from eviction. As a longtime friend I wish I could make everything better in her life, but I know I can’t do that. All kinds of challenges pile up and take their toll, but one thing I can do is to put the word out to friends and other kind folks to see if we can come together to help get Betty over this monetary hardship.

She’s back to work in a new nursing job now. She just needs to get through this rough spot and she’ll be back on track. Please contribute what you can, as soon as you can. Anything helps and it will truly be appreciated.
