Helping a Cancer Patient

Beverly Hastings has been and intends to continue being a teacher with a local school district in Northeast Ohio. She needs some help.
Life sometimes has a way of changing those plans.
As a 2 time cancer survivor she has really beaten the odds. In July 2017 she was diagnosed with B-Cell Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma which is a cancer that starts in white blood cells called lymphocytes, which are part of the body's immune system. According to the American Cancer Society, the overall 5-year relative survival rate for patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is 67% and the 10-year relative survival rate is 55%. (The relative survival rate estimates the likelihood that a patient will survive a certain number years after diagnosis.
A costly change to her health insurance has taken place.
This COULD cause a monumental problem.
First, she is nearly completed with treatment BUT radiation, chemotherapy treatments, PET or Positron Emission Tomography scans, CAT scans will become impossible for her to afford and further treatment, if needed, would not be possible or affordable.
Second, costly changes and insurance changes have added a large expense that will hopefully not last for very long.
Third, stress is a no no right now. This is time to recover. After a House Fire, a Flood, Damage from high winds during a storm, a minor car accident and a laundry list of other stressful events OTHER than being diagnosed with cancer... it is time for her to have SOME kind of meaningful rest, recovery time and peace of mind.

Finally, In the event we are wrong and this can all be fixed we are going to make a donation of 100% of the funds to the American Cancer Society.
