Bill Shafer's Medical Fund

Our friend and colleague, Bill Shafer was diagnosed with two forms of unrelated cancer in 2014.  After going through intense chemotherapy treatments and radiation Bill recovered and is in remission.  Unfortunately, Bill is facing new medical challenges….he suffered more distress when he was hospitalized recently with a severe infection in his knee on the leg where the cancer originated. Emergency surgery was needed and his knee had to be removed.   Bill is now recovering at home; he is on a 6 week intensive daily antibiotic treatment.  He will undergo a second surgery in July to have his knee replaced.   This two year ongoing battle has left Bill with tremendous medical bills.  In order to defray out of pocket medical expenses we are asking for your help……. 

If you know Bill, you will know that he is very positive.  I have spoken with him and he is in great spirits and very eager to be back on his feet.
