Fund Kids' National Parks Trip

Birthright America is a nonprofit organization with the mission to provide an opportunity for all of America's children, regardless of their socioeconomic class, to explore our country's National Parks. We will take our first group of students to Yosemite, Sequoia and Joshua Tree National Parks this coming August. Your support will enable a child from a financially underprivileged family to experience something truly extraordinary.
In his application, one student indicated that he wanted "to witness what nature has to offer and why we must protect it." He went on to say that his "opinion on the environment has not yet been solidified and I want to know if nature is actually what people make it to be." When one stands at the foot of a giant Sequoia or looks out on El Capitan and Bridalveil Fall (even on a foggy day), that awe-inducing experience is life-changing.
Your donations will help to fund the students from Breakthrough SJC to take their trip in just a few short months, as well as for students throughout the Breakthrough Collaborative to take trips to Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, Crater Lake, and many other of our astounding national parks, in the months and years to come. Our goal of $50,000 provides the funds necessary for the first two trips. The more money we raise, the more children will be able to benefit from these extraordinary opportunities.
