Black Economic Aspirations

Donation protected

All talk and sympathy only goes so far.  We want to provide real practical help for families and groups of people, to  reduce poverty  through entrepreneurship or employment.

BlackEconomics.co.uk  was founded in 2005.  The website  provide a window into black communities, with its economic successes, wealth, poverty and failures.  It informs, educates and inspires.  We inform about great business ideas, and entrepreneurs journey.

Our message is to all people, of all creeds, races and colours.  Our aim is that everyone understands the positive aspects of what is happening in our black world as the media will frequently focus on bad news.

Black Economics Foundation

We are creating a community action group/charity called Black Economic Foundation.

Africans, African Americans and Caribbeans work extremely hard, mostly for other people.  Many are creative and talented, but are not encouraged.  Ideas get stolen, or copied.  Or a business owner may start out -  but without a good financial base, they do not ultimately gain lasting success to leave a legacy for their families.  There are too many entrepreneurial endeavours and dreams fizzling out, and we want to arrest that pattern.

Poverty is real for too many.  Not knowing where the next meal is coming from; not being able to pay bills, relying on family or government to assist is a never ending cycle for those without a job, or those with a  failing business.  It causes stress for dependents and lives are shortened because of poverty.

Thankfully we can look to an increasing number of successful black entrepreneurs and entertainers, but this group is still small.  Can we possibly accelerate economic growth among the masses?  Can you help us to affect 10,000 people?  This is our starting target.  We will eventually affect millions.  We can be a conduit for fair trade and economic growth.  Will you join us on this journey?

We are aware that not everyone wants to start a business, so we also assist those looking for work.

Why?

We are  raising funds to  enable the realisation of faster Economic Growth Aspirations of black communities, particularly for  youth and older individuals, some of   whom have given up hope.

For Economic Betterment, we need all hands on deck, as we produce documented solutions which are relevant for any community, of any race, religion, or  social status,  wherever they are.

What will we do with the funds raised?

To Do List

      7) Provide determined families and teams who want to fulfil a dream and have a proven track record with access to Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists

      8) Document progress, with facts and figures to produce a blueprint that is effective in its goals to raise the economic level of families.

  9) Assist those unemployed with finding a job if that is their preference.

10) Provide an offline publication - a Magazine for distribution across the country.  An electronic version will be available  worldwide.

Black Economics Foundation will work with idea generators from concept to mass production.  We will offer advice,  guidance. road maps, marketing support, and if necessary,  help with business plans.

Black Economics Foundation  will give with no expectation of a return.  Our reward is seeing the Economic Betterment of those helped, and the subsequent relief and cohesion of families.

We will  connect aspiring businesses to mentors, coaches, experts and consultants to guide and propel real progress.  We will assist with branding and promotion and organise a sales team for each business.

Help needs to be offered to prospective or existing entrepreneurs who are already marginalised, who banks refuse to lend to, and to those who do not have rich relatives to give them a start.

More good and positive experiences  to be created in this life where so people many are in pain, and despair.  In a multi-cultural world, we all need to help each other.

A report will be produced at the end of the one year period to inform about progress, facts and figures.

Our reach

Our plan is to encourage and grow entrepreneurship  in the following countries:  UK, USA, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Trinidad, Jamaica and Antigua.  We have already formed links in these countries, to target small business, or aspiring business owners.  If we raise all the funds required, an average of 12 business entities per country can be assisted per annum.   If we can positively affect the income of 1200 people per country, that would be a job well done, and a great start to our mission.

Where an ambitious person prefers to get a job or wants career growth, we will work with them to ensure employment within a short time period.

Our Targets

The target for the Black Economics Foundation  will be  to help move families from  poverty to middle income or from middle income to higher incomes.    We work with people from age 14 up to 70.

We  motivate teenagers to channel their energies into lucrative businesses and also encourage over 50s  who still want to fulfil a dream and should not be written off.

Help us to make a difference. The funds are given as grants/gifts.   Where a bank or other funding body will provide match funding,  - we can  assist with the paperwork in preparation for the bank interview.

If we can help one business this enables the benefits to trickle to 100 people.  If we help 100 teams, that is 10,000 benefiting from this project with your help.  Give any amount.   We will of course, publish the details of progress on our website.

Why do we say that helping one business team will help 100?  If a team is made of 3 people, each person has a family and group of friends who will benefit from business growth.  Any staff hired, will have loved ones who benefit from their wages. The suppliers and their families will benefit.  The people who supply the suppliers will also benefit.  The money earned by the original business people (our clients)  will be spent on local suppliers of food, housing, clothing and more.  Those local suppliers will have extra income for their families - and so it snowballs.

Thank You

I hope you can help us make this journey.  Walk with us, and help us birth a new organisation - Black Economics Foundation - to help propel the aspirations that exist within communities.  Many typically die an unfulfilled death.  The stress of poverty, racism,  lack of opportunites, crime and disappointments coupled with inadequate healthcare causes the black race to die younger than other races.  Check the statistics. You almost have to be superhuman to make a real success in life - or be lucky enough to have someone reach out and help.  Too much talent is going to waste.

Our website provides inspirational stories of business owners, and great work being done.  But our aim is do more than provide stories.  We want to be pro-active in making a change.  This is why this funding page has been set up.

We hope you are able to give towards this cause.  Give any amount from £5 upwards.  Choose a reward if you wish, or give without expectations.  To donate without receiving a reward, just enter the amount you want to give, then click donate, without choosing a reward.  Your donation can be anonymous if you wish.

Should you wish to discuss our work further, please contact us via our website.  We are keen to have more people  involved to help us build an effective conduit for change.  Bring your skills, time and resources - and put them to good use.

Please do visit our website, and see what we do.
