The Allied Media Conference (AMC) is one of the most radical social justice gatherings in the nation. black.seed's presence to represent the special Town brand of queer black direct action and resistance is crucial! It will also be an opportunity for black.seed organizers to parlay with other bad-ass freedom fighters from around the country and bring back hella knowledge & skillz to share with the Town.

black.seed is a "leaderful" (never "leaderless") horizontal collective of black Bay Area organizers.
We take bold, creative, strategic action in the service of black power and liberation.
you might recognize us from actions like:
- The 4.5-hour shutdown of the Oakland Police Department at its main headquarters
- Black Brunches in Oakland and around the country, and the "Black Brunch" toolkit
-The people's takeover of the City Council meeting to fight for affordable housing
The AMC will provide political education to accelerate & escalate black.seeds leadership & solidarity with black liberation activists in Oakland!
How much to make it there?

We are personally contributing over half the costs of attending the conference from our own pockets. It's an honor to turn to you, our community, and ask for your support in generating the rest.
Breakdown of Travel Costs

$195 per person (less than half the cost of a single round-trip ticket from Oakland to Detroit)
Per Person Breakdown
FOOD -- $14/day for 5 days, including meeting accessibility needs around lactose intolerance, etc.
HOUSING -- $20/day for 5 days in shared hotel room
TRANSPORTATION -- $5/day for 5 days (not including plane tickets paid out of pocket)
That means you can give a black.seed organizer food, housing, and transportation for 1 day for just $39!
