Blair We Care

Blair McEwen's journey back from a debilitating stroke he suffered in November of 2016 has been an incredibly difficult battle for him and his family. Left with limited speech and mobility with a paralyzed right arm and hand, Blair is in need of long-term care and will not be returning home. He was ripped by the roots from his work he had so passionately loved and torn from the life he built serving and protecting his family. Blair's world was turned upside down in the blink of an eye!

Blairs two precious kids Jeremy and Melissa do everything they can to keep dad strong while his beautiful wife Jane, turns over every stone to try and clear a path to make ends meet.

To know Blair is to know a guy who has never asked for anything but has always been the first one there to help. From looking out for his many business associates to lending a hand to a friend in need, Blair was there, front row center and didn't leave until the job was done.

Being the major breadwinner in the family, the financial security of what he worked so hard to achieve has vanished, leaving behind a dark trail of financial worry, stress, and anxiety. The cold reality of this situation is sinking in.

From the mounting and unforeseen costs of medical bills, long-term care, loss of income, the uncertainty of losing a home, transition costs to extended care, ongoing costs of physio and occupational therapist's and the expense of raising two teenagers, have put an insurmountable amount of pressure on his family. His wife Jane's supplementary income is barely keeping the wolves from the door, and any new bump in the road from here on in could cause more major setbacks.

Blair's life is his family and his passion was the production end of the music business. He has worked and traveled with many of North America's biggest acts. From his beginnings with Allstar Show Industries to his 20 plus years with FM Systems, Blair has worked every major music event, from festivals to stadium concerts. From high clearance access to the Queen and Pope's visit to his role as the recording engineer on Creedence Clearwater Revisited Double Platinum Release, Blair wore close to every hat in the music business.

I am asking each and every one of you to dig down deep and help us reach our financial goal. Help us give this struggling family some breathing room. Allow them the freedom to regroup and relieve some of the constant pressure. Help us rid some of the worry, stress, and anxiety that walks with them daily. Help us to put a little fire and hope back in Blair's heart and remind him how much he is loved and how we will never forget his unselfish contribution to an industry he dedicated his life to.
