Help Maria Daenerys Fight Leukemia

This is my niece with husband and their beautiful 4-year old daughter Maria Daenerys . Maria, like most girls her age,  was going to preschool,  enjoyed her normal everyday activities and  was always  a lovely and high-spirited child.  However, Maria was diagnosed with thalassemia last August 2018 and recently tested positive for Leukemia.

Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder marked by an abnormal production of hemoglobin, an important part of red blood cells. It is a treatable disorder that can be well-managed with blood transfusions and chelation therapy. To date, whenever Maria gets ill she has to be rushed to the hospital as her hemoglobin count drops to an extremely low number.  This condition, if not treated, could lead to complications with her heart, brains and other internal organs.

Maria was admitted to the Philippine Children’s Hospital and has been confined for over a month now as she needs to be closely monitored by doctors. Her ongoing treatments, blood transfusions, Chelation therapy, doctor’s fees and cost of hospitalization continue to add up and have become a financial burden to Maria’s family with only one income coming in for a family of 5.

So here I am asking friends and family for any help that can be provided, even by sharing this page and praying.
